  • annoyance – Media Import window “sees” a non-existent camera

Fairly recently, every time I launch, the Media Import window opens immediately, because somehow it’s “seeing” a camera connected ( LG GR700 ). Can’t eject it or otherwise remove it. Small thing, as I just need to close the window, but still. Looked through the root of all attached drives and I don’t see anything that could be read as a camera card folder. Ideas?

Search your hard drive- perhaps you have the folder of a camera card at the root of one of your connected drives.

First thing I would do is figure out which drive is causing this to happen. Once you do that, trust me there IS something on that drive that is causing this. I just had some experience on the weird things that a non-video camera card can do to FCPX and if it’s there then there’s something there.

FOUND IT!! Wow… it was an old phone left over in Bluetooth preferences! Haven’t had that one for maybe 3 years.

    Digital mice in the wainscoting.

    Thanks for posting this pubically…

I NEVER would have thought of that. Now it’s a tiny tickle in a lot of brains.

    Good work!
