Here’s a strange one. I have four extruded text layers, via repoussé. The faces and the extrudes of these layers have an animated texture in their “environments.” When I go to enter a time in the timeline that I wish to see, I click on the timecode in the upper left of the timeline. This is when things goes haywire. The timeline starts rendering a frame, then minutes later jumps to a seemingly random frame somewhere else in the timeline and renders that for a few minutes, then jumps again. I can’t stop it. My whole application is “locked out” and can’t be used because the timeline is rendering and jumping all around. Force quit? Sure. I guess I could do that. I’d rather find out how to interrupt this mayhem. Has anyone run into this?

    Photoshop Extended CS5, OS 10.6.7, 2.8GHZ Intel i5, 16GB Ram, imac.
