  animation presets, unsupported file type error message

  Hello,
  I just got AE 7. When I try to open one of the animation presets I get an error message: ‘Can’t open file “…..ffx”:unsupported filetype or extension’
  I’ve tried to open these files through the animation-browse presets menu, through the file-import menu, directly from bridge and from the finder, I even duplicated on of the files to my desktop and removed the extension, but i always get the same message.
  What’s up?
  I’m on an intel-mac running 10.4.8
