I animated a text using the AE internal animator settings. I put a slight wiggle on the text so that individual letters jittered. Then I decided to hand draw the letters with Vector Paint & have each letter draw on screen. But now I want the wiggle also. I know I can keyframe each letter but I was curious if there was a quicker way. I tried parenting the orginal text with the wiggle onto the new hand drawn layers. That didn’t work like I hoped. Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Maryanne

You could use expressions or you could just use the wiggle fuction on the on the size of the layer. I don’t know when this came into AE but I think it’s been there since 5.5 but it sits here. Menu > Window > Wiggler. Then a windows will pop up and you need to highlight your keyframes that you want .. in the size just add a keyframe at the start (0) of the SEQ and at the end (100) then select both keyframes and the wiggle menu will light up. This things selects random numbers around the place, you select the values it can swing around by, and the freq in which the keyframes are applied .. Have fun.
