    Hi Guys,

I’m going to be animating/emulating someone making a Google search using the Safari browser address bar for a video. When you actually do a real search in this way a little ‘- Google Search’ piece of text sits to the right of the characters that you type into the search bar. This peice of text moves incrementally with each character that you type into the bar.

What technique approach would be the best to achieve this?

    – Perhaps there’s a way to rig up an expression that can move the ‘- Google Search’ layer by the value returned from some type of expression that calculates the number of characters currently in the ‘source text’ of a text layer multiplied by each character’s width (or a predefined width and I’ll just use a mono-spaced font?)

    – Manually position the ‘- Google Search’ layer by eye using hold frames?

    Thanks
