Hi. I ran into this problem, while I was rotoing people with after effects masks.
The problem is that when i animating mask path and TURN ON motion blur, it takes unwanted data from outer mask to generate motion blur.

I found a way to solve this by rendering masked footage without motion blur into a sequence (to cut unwanted data), then importing this sequence back to comp and forcing motion blur with Pixel Motion Blur Effect.
But i think this method is too laborious.

I’m wondering how you guys solving this kind of problems.
Thanks and sorry for bad English.

I wouldn’t render the footage, I would put the masked in a precomp(“shift+cntl+c”) and add Pixel Motion Blur to the precomp. It will save you one render.

Did you have “Move all attributes into the new composition” selected?

No, i didnt. And that was my mistake. It works good with precompose and setting this parameter. Thanks a lot!

It’s a mistake I make once every other week. Glad I could help out.
