Animating Logo – need layer to appear from mask, but mask keeps moving
Hello,
I have a logo I’m trying to animate that involves 3 letters.
I want the 2nd letter to appear like its popping out of the first letter. If I put a mask on the 2nd layer, the mask will just move as I try to animate the letter. I want the mask to stay in the same place so I can animate the letter out of that mask, making it look like its appearing out of thin air.
I think I might have to use an adjustment layer? Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I’m not sure I’m clear on what you’re trying to do, but consider using a masked solid as a track matte instead of a mask on the layer you’re animating.
