  • Animating Horizontal Spacing and Roatation of MoText

    Hi.

I’ve animated the horizontal spacing of some simple MoText so it begins by being wide apart and comes to rest closer together.

I now want to add a secondary animation with each individual letter rotating from -90 degrees on H, coming to rest back to it’s original rotation (0 degrees) at the same time as the original animation ends.
To make this second part of the animation I need to make the MoText editable but as you’ve probably guessed, once I do this I lose the initial horizontal spacing keyframes and animation.

Is there a way around this?

    Thanks

Why do you have to make it editable? You can animate the Transform>Rotation parameter in the MoText Letters tab, or use a Plane Effector and animate the rotation parameter.

That’s fantastic, thank you. The Transform controls were hidden.
That was easier than I thought it was going to be!

    Hi Adam,

I want to animate a bunch of letters, they must come through a thin tunnel and when they come out they should form the word. I want all the letters to be in the center, scattered only in Z space, and when they come out of the tunnel they take the form of the word.

    Hope I explained it well.

    Appreciate your help.

    Thanks
