    Hi

I am attempting to recreate the image of modifying colour in Lab mode on a video track – I don’t want to have to resort to screengrabs.

I would like to recreate in video the effect of increasing contrast in curves on the a and b channel, so as to boost saturation. But, I don’t really want to mimic this in RGB in AE, for all the reasons that Lab is a different kind of colour space to RGB and the transitions between colour operate in a different order.

Is it possible to keyframe curves positions on a video timeline? Or does anyone know anyone, who could help to write a script, which would apply the effect to each frame as a still image with gradual change in curves values.

    Thanks

I’d say the only thing you want to do in Photoshop is the adjustment results images. I would:

    1) Do screen grabs for the results of applying the curves to a LAB image

    2) Fade between these stills in AE

    3) Fake the Photoshop curve adjustments animation in AE
