How does one wipe in an effect you put on? Specifically I’m looking to wipe in a green screen effect so as to show the before and after as the effect appears.

    A la: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqeOmuzO9s0 (starting at about 2:05)

I’ve got the effect on it in Premiere Pro 2.0. Can I make it slide in like that in PP, or do I need to move to AE or something?

That should be easy using either the linear wipe effect, or wipe transition. Use the original green screen track and wipe to the corrected and chromakeyed track below it.
