  • animating a point on a spline…is it possible?

Posted by Frank Ruggiero on February 12, 2007 at 6:25 pm

    Hello people,

Would anyone know if it is possible to animate a point (the position of it) on a spline. I just want to select a point and keyframe its position and then go down a second and move the point and keyframe it new position.

    Am i totally missing something?

    Thanks in advance.

you’ll want to use PLA (point level animation)

    Thank You,

I see this now in the manual. But can I ask another question? How in the world do you apply that PLA track. I see the manual says: Go to NEW TRACK > PLA.
For the life of me, I can not find that??

    Thanks in advance

In the timeline window. It’s not attached to the object by default (for obvious reasons) and needs to be added explicitly.
