Animating a four legged animal
Hi!
I’d like to take my animation skills to the next level and want to learn how to animate four legged animals. Before I dive deeper into DUIK, I’d like to learn how to exactly prepare illustrations for animation in After Effects, because I struggle to find best illustration poses to start the animation. I drew a fox in Illustrator (see pictures) and want to animate a walk cycle.
I need to learn how to especially draw the legs and the body, so the leg and body do look properly when animating.
I figured that I need to draw reference points (green circles) on the body and the leg , but how should this circle look exactly in this case? Here I made the leg transparent:
I already did a lot of research- There are tutorials out there how to use DUIK or how to rig, but I need to find more basis information about how to set up an illustration for animation before starting to rig. Any informations welcome!
