    Hello,

I’m attempting to animate a flag. The flag is a logo for the company I work and it’s somewhat in a design that lends itself to look like its “waving.” Ideally we’d like to use this as a “bug” in the lower right corner of all our programs. The notion is to have the stripes wave. Somewhat similar to the animated CNN logo. Any suggestions on how to achieve this result in After Effects would be truly appreciated.

You can also get a decent looking flag by animating fractal noise and using it as a displacement map.

For a quickie, Wave Warp, left edge pinned, crank up the Wave Width, Direction 45 (animate this), tweak all to taste… not as good as Zakworks, but pretty good really.

You might need Grow Bounds above the Wave Warp to stop any clipping.
