With the new Photoshop CS3 Extended, one can bring in 3D models as smart objects. Does anyone know if you can animate these objects in the animation timeline? I would like to rotate the object in its smart layer and save it out.

I have tried experimenting with it but haven’t had any successful results. Keyframes don’t seem to apply to the views of the smart object.
I would assume it is only a matter of time until After Effects incorporates this same feature.

I haven’t had any luck being able to animate a 3D object in PS either. I’m not sure if it’s possible right now. Of course you can animate the position but that’s all I’ve been able to do. Sorry I can’t be of more help!
