  • Animated Texture Maps After Effects vs Cinema4d

I am trying to create a simple tunnel with animated walls with a camera that moves through the tunnel.

There will be 3D Cinema4d objects that fly at you as you move down the tunnel.

So the question is do I …..:

    A) render the flat wall animations in aftereffects and then apply them as a texture in Cinema 4D? Then do all the camera and objects in cinema 4D as one sequence and render from C4D.

    or

    B) Build the tunnel in cinema 4D and then import the C4D model into aftereffects and then use compositing tags to apply the animation comps onto the walls in Aftereffects and render everything in after effects

(I would then render the 3D objects in the tunnel out separately and composite them into after effects after)

    See below example of tunnel.

The white bars will be animating.

It’s a long tunnel and there are 18 sections of animations, and it’s 100 layers per section, which is why I may not want to do it all in aftereffects.

This in essence is a question of what will render faster.

Bake then texture map in Cinema 4D or Model and then Map Comps in Aftereffects.

Thanks in advance for any tips.

    Bump?

What could I do to get some responses to this post?
Could I make the post title or original post more clear?
