    Hello All,

I’m trying to animate a logo that consists of about 300 separate blades of grass. I would like to have them “grow” up from behind a mask layer at varying speeds and times over a period of about 5-7 seconds. Anyone have any tips or tricks on how to accomplish this without having to physically go in and set 600 keyframes?

    Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a particle thing, where each (static) particle is a movie of a growing blade of grass. I’d use Particular, but Particle Playground could probably do this as well. You may need to make multiple movies, each slightly offset in speed.

Motion Tile might work as well.
Or you could use Roughen Edges on a solid to fake the grass … maybe on multiple solids layered on top of each other.

Thanks Steve.. I ran across this forum having pretty much the same problem as the guy who posted the topic… Your advice was a big help. Particular it is.
