Animated highlights
Hello Guys,
Can someone tell me how can I create similar animated highlights to what you can see in this video from 0:30? I’ve tried to reproduce it with shape layer, pen tool, trim paths and vegas effect but the “end product” is far from this.

Saber plugin but the paths would be best tracked in mocha. or AE

Some cases if you have access to the CG part, I would make render passes of specific parts of the model.
Save those as mask layers for AE use.
