Animated Effects with Vegas Platinum 12?
I’m using Vegas Platinum 12 and am pretty sure that the feature I am wanting is disabled on this version, but wanted to make sure.
I want to animate the color correction in order to make something have a flashing glow effect. I CAN add animation frames to the “2D shadow” and “2D Glow” effects, and a few others, but most of the effects (including all the other color ones I’ve tried) will not allow me to add keyframes for animation.
Ideally I’d like to animate something like the Color Corrector, which gives me the effect I want. The “Add point” button on the timeline does nothing here, and there is no “Animate” button on the effect itself.
I can always fade a different track in and out that has the effect, but I’m hoping to do it on a single track.
Anyway, I just wanted to confirm – is this feature just not there in my version?

Well, I figured it out. It IS there. It’s just organized funny. I have to click the clock icons next to the effects themselves in order to bring up animation. Which brings up the total number of ways to bring the animation interface up to three:
1) Just go to the timeline animation bar.
2) Press the “Animate” button (which is there for some effects but not others)
3) Click the Clock icon(s).What a weird UI choice.
Anyway, that’s how it works, in case anyone else has a similar problem.

Ok….. Not too familiar with the Studio/Platinum versions of Vegas.
