Animate planet rotation/reveal
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to figure out how to animate the radial reveal of a sphere. Below is a clip of a Kurzgesagt video that shows what I mean.
From what I can tell, this animation was made using 2D shapes and masks. I know a similar effect can be created in 3D using cc spheres (https://library.creativecow.net/articles/mylenium/layered_earth.php), but I am struggling a little with the instructions and it is not quite what I am looking for.
Does anyone have advice for how to create this effect?

create 2 layers one white one black cc sphere them both..or just the white one on top and animate the white one..use this as a luma matte to reveal your layer or logo
