    Hi All,

I would like to take a still image (a painting of a night landscape) and rotate stars in the sky area only while still being able to see the original sky behind the stars. It would seem like I want to creat a mask (over everything but the sky area) for the star layer that stays still while I animate the stars behind it?

I did this and then tried panning behind the mask but can only control direction, not rotation.

So I then made it work by using the painting as a bottom layer, the stars (animated to rotate and move) as a middle layer, and the painting again with the sky removed in photoshop as a top layer. Is there an easier way?
    Thanks for any help!!!

    Carlos
