    Hey!

    i have a comp : 6400 x 720
a shape layer of a square
I pan behind the anchor point to the left of the square ( so i can rotate it from out that point)
then i Duplicate the shape layer
And the Anchor point of the new layer is in the middle of the comp.

When you duplicate a layer, it should duplicate it exactly, right?
Or am i missing a point here …

    Hi there,

Shape layers are strange creatures, but endearing all the same! 😉

You may not have noticed that with Shape Layers there are 2 sets of Transform properties. The Pan Behind tool will move the Anchor Point of the layer but it sounds like you want to move the Anchor Point of the shape. to do this, open the Layer, go into Contents > Rectanagle 1 > Transform: Rectangle 1 > Anchor Point. Use these controls to adjust the AP and you should be OK.

    Hope this helps!

    cheers,

    Angie
