    Hello, all!

I’m running a PPC quad with 4gigs of ram, final cut 5.1.4, Black Magic Multibridge and 2 20″ displays- and have now been asked to have an older RGB LCD HD monitor/TV available for client monitoring.
I know the monitor works because when I’m capturing, I’m feeding my HDV deck into the RGB inputs of the Multibridge and looped out to the analog LCD monitor- everything is fine.

When I switch to editing in the Mac, I have a horrible magenta hue- I’m assuming this is a color space issue, but I can’t find anything on this issue anywhere. Multibridge folks tell me the box is auto-sensing on output but I know I’ve had problems in the past feeding an LCD TV from a DVI output. I just can’t remember what I did to solve the problem.

    Any ideas?

    Scott,

What you are calling RGB are actually component inputs and outputs — it sounds like you may simply need to swap the red and the blue cable on their way into the monitor.

RGB (or Y pB pR) IS component, I know that.

If the output of the HDV deck is working through the loop through on the Multibridge, that tells me everything IS wired right. What ISN’T working is the output signal from the multibridge from FCP (which is DVI).
