An Effect from CSI
Hey everyone. I was watching an episode of CSI from the latest season… and I was wondering how they did a certain effect.

Its towards the end where they freeze the video and then move the camera through a still crowd. Its kind of like some of the stuff they did in the movie “Click”

Note that nobody is doing anything impossible. They’re all just standing still. Flashes were added in post, masked to appear hidden by the talent. Liquid splashes would have been cast in resin. The basketball would have been held by a hidden support .
“Practical” is the new “CG”.
