  • An easiest way to put disolve/fade-in/out to the edge of clips?

    Hi gentleman!

Would you please help me to show how I can put DEFAULT transition to the edge of the single clip?

I know using “*” for the start of clip but not for the end of it.

I just wish to put fade-out at the end of clip with the easiest way.

    Easy??

    Thanks in advance!

You can just overlap each event to do this.

You can add FADES to the edges of an event. These are the same as crossfades to black.

Just move the mouse over the top left or right corner of an event until the cursor changes to a little quarter-circle, and drag to set the fade length.

Also search for Event Fade in the Vegas help.

    Thanks!

I think I had to had a little more explanation..

I know kinds of way to do this. but

just like “drag to set the fade length”

I have meant I wish to avoid this action “to set length”, so

I set default length in the property to apply.

Now I can do this with the key “*” for the start edge of clip, but

    CANNOT for the ends.

Not for two clips like crossfading. for single clip.

What do you think is there any way????

In Vegas Movie Studio 10, I can use the * key to add a default transition (dissolve) to the start of a single video event or to the end of the clip.

However, if I trim the end of the event so that it is shorter, the * key no longer works to add a dissolve at the end. If I trim the start, the * key still adds a dissolve at the start.

    Possibly a bug?
