AME either gets stuck on Reading XMP for hours or directly shuts down
Hi all! How are you?
I’m writing to you today in the hopes that you can help me solve a very frustrating problem. I’m trying to render a project I’ve done in AE (involving Element 3D, but very simple stuff) to AME. However, no matter what file type I choose as export (.mov, .avi, .webm), AME gets either stuck on “Reading XMP” or directly shuts down and won’t reopen unless I restart the computer. This is EXTREMELY frustrating (as I’m sure you can imagine), and it only happens with this one project. Tried with others and they rendered just fine.
What gives? Thank you very much for your suggestions! -

Hi Dave! thanks for your reply. Turns out it was a memory issue… my old laptop doesn’t have the power (or the patience) to deal with Element 3D, and so it wasn’t able to render it. Thanks anyway!
