AMD Phenom X4 9600 Quad-Core ..anyone running this chip
Can anyone give any info on this chip as it relates to advantages in our field

Pretty much the same as the Quad Xeon that’s been out for a while…more cores, more GHz = all good for AE! I think AMD chips might have more L2 cache than the Xeons (old Xeons), which means more RAM throughput I think. New Harpertown Xeons have more throughput too, but not sure if they’re out yet.
