AMA plugin issue on export using SubCap generator
A student of mine has run into an Avid problem I can’t find a solution for. They shot on the Red at 2048×1080 24FPS and it won’t export with the subtitles. They are using the subcap generator to create the subtitles and the export fails when the layer is enabled but it worked when it’s disabled it. It gives an error saying
“AMA plugin unable to provide sample”.
Do you know what could be causing this or how to possibly fix this?
I’ve never used this feature so I don’t have an answer for them.

I would guess the Ama side of that error refers to the RED footage. Might be a memory issue.
Try a small section …do a video mix down without subs enabled…the use that mix down as your source video file. Turn off the red layer…turn on the sub layer…what happens?
