  • Am I correct on how to de-interlace an existing project?

    Question:

I would assume that most of us want to stream work that was originally edited and rendered out for DVD’s and standard tv viewing. I also render out AVI’s form some project if i want to archive it for quality or future needs.

For me, much of what I do involves taking some of those examples and streaming them.

If: interlaced video is for CRT’s and TV’s

If: progressive scan is best for video viewed on computer LCD monitors,

is the answer to set up a new project with the project properties set to progressive scan…

Import the interlaced AVI clip that was originally edited and rendered out for DVD re-render it as progressive scan?

Based on what I’ve been told, I am assuming this is how I would accomplish de-interlacing and interlaced AVI to progressive scan.

    thanks,
    Wayne
