    Especially in longer timelines, I am constantly zooming in and out of the timeline using Alt+mouse wheel. The problem is, any time you hit Alt, in Windows it sticks you up in the file menu, so you have to click somwhere in the window before you can use the mouse wheel to move left or right.

    Am I the only one having troubles with this? It works in AE. Alt+mouse wheel to zoom, then Shift+mouse wheel to pan the timeline. No need to click.

    Also, what’s Adobe’s deal with not making the interactions between software the same? ESPECIALLY with newer software like Audition. That irks me. That’s really not a good user experience.

    I have exactly the same problem with Premiere CS6.

    Use Alt+wheel to zoom and then you have to click somewhere in the timeline. Really “am I the only one having troubles with this?”

    Please help!

    Hiya guys,

    For anyone else that finds this thread first Googling “premiere alt zoom”, eeeeh222 solved this on the Adobe forums with an AutoHotkey script:

    SendMode Input
    #NoTrayIcon

    #ifWinActive ahk_class Premiere Pro
    !WheelUp::Send !{WheelUp}
    !WheelDown::Send !{WheelDown}

    It still works great in Premiere Pro CC =D
