having trouble opening final cut due to some plugin discrepancy with protools. altiverb 6. i get to a part of the load up and altiverb (audio ease) comes up and says it needs to authorize. now another user on this computer uses protools so im not to familiar with this plug in. if we are logged in on the protools users account final cut loads up fine. so why would there be an issue with a different user?

heres a photo. cant quit. cant authorize.

The iLok drivers that let the software read the authorization on the dongle can do stuff like that when installed in another user account. Some components are installed in the user folder so a different account can not acces them. If you have the iLok dongle plugged in while you use FCP, installing the latest versions of the driver and client software from the iLok.com site in the FCP user account could well be the remedy.

The installers can be found at https://www.ilok.com/download-ilok-software.html.

It’s the driver you really need, but I recommend installing the client as well.
