Alternative to ChyronHego (Vidigo) Toolbox – screengrabber with Return Signal
Hi,
I work in a master control room of some broadcast network station where we do lots of live interviews in a day (around 60 per day), mostly using LiveU and Skype.
We have two older Vidigo Toolbox computers, one ChyronHego Toolbox and one Skype TX unit and some self-built Skype computers (the video gets converted from HDMI to SDI and the return signal (audio only) gets done via some Blackmagicdesign converter.
Since those self-built Skype computers do not have any support from some vendor, our second-level audio/video support does look for alternatives, but they really take their time.
And the Vidigo Toolbox computers are a decade old and still have to run Windows 7 and get more problematic each day. And since ChyronHego seems to have abandoned Toolbox, there is no further road that way, and their toolbox version is counterintuitive for our needs.
Anyway, do any of you know of a prebuilt system, except those Skype TX ones, where one can get a screen grabber with transform tools like Toolbox has (not that important, but nice to have) and a return signal (audio important, video would be nice too).
Or does anyone know of a broadcast TV forum, where I could ask this question?
