    Hey there,
I’ve created a transition in AE to be used in Final Cut. In order to make it work, it needs to utilize the Alpha Matte or Luma Matte function to Cause “Video A” to Scale down while “Video B” is revealed. Everything works great. The only problem is that when “Video A” has some effects on it, for some reason when it goes over the matte the effects get slightly changed. Mainly for color correction. Is this because the matte is white and FCP’s Mattes are using a special blend mode that is adding or subtracting the pixels? Is there a solution? I can find a work around on a case by case basis. However, this is going to be part of permanent gfx package that will be used several times a week. It needs to be more streamlined. Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

My 1st guess is that this is a typical YUV vs RGB type of thing. Check your sequence settings, & toggle the YUV/RGB render & see if that changes anything.
