Alpha Channels from Windows to Mac
Interesting issue. I had a friend render out some videos for me with Alpha channels. He uses a windows machine and I use a Mac. I output a few of the files and he output the rest from his Windows version of AE. When I got the files back I place them in my document and added a background. The files I output worked fine. The windows files had a rule around the alpha path that I couldn’t get rid of. We both used the same output settings. Pro Res 4444 with alpha.
Has anyone else had this experience?

could it be that the comp on the windows machine had a comp background set to something other than black? That is to say that the comps on each machine may have different comp BGs (the BG setting in comp settings)
