All fonts not available in FCP 6.0
Posted by Pradip Patil on September 18, 2010 at 3:18 pmHi.
This is another issue that is giving me trouble in FCP 6.0
When I use text in FCP, I can’t see all the fonts that are installed on the mac.I want a specific font that I have installed recently.
I can see that font in fontbook but its not there in FCP.

September 18, 2010 at 3:44 pmI think that FC needs the fonts installed in main/Library/Fonts.
Probably that one is somewhere else.
BTW, make your self a favor and update FC.
The FC 6.0 version has been probably the buggiest one in the story of the application.
Cheers,

September 18, 2010 at 4:48 pmWhat kind of Font is it?
Postscript? OpenType? TrueType?Have you tried the included Boris Title 3D or just the crappy default titler?

September 18, 2010 at 4:53 pmIt’s Trutype.
I want it to be available in Typewriter Text. So can’t use Boris. That system doesn’t have any other 3rd party plugins also.Pradip Patil

September 18, 2010 at 5:28 pmNot all Font types are supported in FCP. Especially FCP text editor. Use Live Type, Motion or Boris Title 3D for text.

you DO have typwriter like option in Boris Title 3D; I believe it is called type on or something, down by the lower third of the menu…
