    Hi,

This has never happened before, but for some reason when I apply an effect to a clip the quality is degraded. I’m trying to crop the edges of some slates to remove frame lines. When I apply crop or a matte the letters look like a moth has eaten around the edges. It’s a slight pixelization or something.

I’ve got the video rendering set to ‘maximum bit depth’ and I’ve switched compression from 8-bit to 10-bit and none. Using a Blackmagic Decklink card. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have no idea how this started happening or how to make it stop.

    Thanks,

    -Wesley

Could be a preview issue; change the zoom of the Program window from Fit to 100%.

I’m watching it on a CRT monitor. Perhaps I should shed some light, this project was originally transferred to a Mac in ProRes422 SD/MOV format. Then it was played at 23.98 and captured at 29.97 in 10-bit uncompressed AVI format on a PC.
I’m about to try a fresh project (I didn’t create the original) and then I’ve also been told I can import the ProRes MOV files directly into Premiere and render them. If that doesn’t work I may just edit on the Mac in ProRes format.
