    I clicked something while editing a video and all of a sudden the symbols that i circled appeared on my timeline and the clips i was editing grayed out on the timeline and i could no longer interact with them and i cant reverse it with undo, please help.

    Firstly: DON’T PANIC! Secondly, how about we see a ScreenGrab? Yeah? Showing ALL your VP workspace.

    Probably you have pressed the Solo button (that little exclamation sign on each video tack) on one of the tracks.
    However, posting a screen grab would enable us to help you a lot better.

    That would be my guess as well but it would also mean that at least one video track is not greyed out.

    I agree a screen shot is needed to determine further (which you can host right here).

    I read this post earlier and have a similar issue. It is not a mute/solo issue. This one happened on one event only. I cannot move, split, edit or transition this clip. It plays though. Here is a screen grab.

    I found the solution:
    Edit> Switches> Lock
    or
    Right Click> Switches> Lock

    Not sure how it got to Lock status, but it is possible to lock multiple (or all clips) at once. I hope this helps for anyone who encounters this in the future! Thanks!

    Yes, Locking Events will also grey them out and disable their movement. Glad you solved that one.
