aligning keyframes over multiple layers
I have a project that is about 60 layers with numerous keyframes on each layer.
I was wondering if there is a shortcut key that will allow me to align the keyframes on multiple layers to the playhead location. I did a search, but couldn’t find much.
Anyone know of this keystroke, or does it exist solely in my head?

Yeah, shift-dragging is what I am doing right now. It’s just that I’m doing it to allign keyframes that are spanning 60 layers. And I have about 30 instances of keyframes that need aligning. So I was hoping I could just drag and select a bunch of keyframes, hit the magic button and they all line up. I just can’t find the magic button. I even checked the bottom of my keyboard. Not there either.

the only way i can think of that might be able to accomplish what you are looking for is to create a script that would look at the first keyframe of selected layers and line them up to the current time position…
it would be a pretty tricky script… it would need to search all parameters of each layer for keyframes and then reposition them relative to the first keyframe within a given parameter, and if some of the keyframes were within an effect, it would seem to get even more complex… yikes.
it might be easier to make a script that would set the inpoint of selected layers to the first keyframe, then you could align the layers’ inpoints by hitting the ‘[‘ key, but i think it would probably be faster to do it by hand, unless you know somebody who is pretty good with java.

I like to program a macro into an extra mouse button (If you have a fancy mouse like I do) that does a sequential cut, and paste.
This works great to select key frames layer by layer and hit the button each time to move the keyframe to playhead.
