    Hey,

Was wondering if there was a quicker way to align clips together.

I regularly have to cut chunks out of longer clips so I am left with spaces like this (marked in red). Is there a quicker way to align everything up (i.e. no gaps) with the clip marked with a black arrow.
I was hoping there was a key I could press that would just remove the gap. With the Ctrl+L auto ripple tool I still have to drag unfortunately.

Close Gaps commands from Vegasaur extension will do it. Other scripting extensions have similar tools

I don’t know of any keypress in Vegas but you can use VASST EventTools ($9.95) to close the gaps and a whole lot more.

Here is a shot of the Adjustment tab where you could check Close Event Gaps on Selected Track(s) to close them all in one click.

In addition to Event Adjustments, it has functions to manipulate Transitions, Selections, and Fades.

And, of course, the grand daddy of the scripts – Excalibur – can do it as well.
