Yes indeed. Weird that neat uses the CUDA driver when no Nvidia card is present. Guess they don’t use OpenCL? Just did a little googling, and it seems that an app written to use CUDA can run on non-CUDA GPU’s using some voodoo that is above my pay grade to comprehend. I’d guess that’s what’s happening, and I guess changing the CUDA driver breaks it.

This seems to be the crux of the issue.
I have a late 2013 retina MBP with an Nvidia card in it. I haven’t installed a CUDA driver, and there is no CUDA control panel in my Sys Prefs.
I guess this must be different in a new MacPro, which is odd because there is no hardware present for CUDA to work with.

I thought that CUDA emulation is no longer, but I don’t really know either.
What version of CUDA do you have on your iMac?

This just happened to me on my new Mac Pro. How do you remove the CUDA driver and install the older version?
