ALE export limitation
I’ve been using CatDV to generate avid .ale logs of .mov and .mxf (XDcam) files.
Ale has a format header that can be set to NTSC for SD and 1080 or 720 for HD.
CatDV always sets this to NTSC regardless of the format in the catalog. Avid will not link HD material to an ale set to NTSC.
To avoid having to edit the .ales every time I’d suggest a preference to set the ale Format.

I think when we first developed the ALE export capability NTSC and PAL were the only valid formats (see https://www.24p.com/PDF/ALE_Spec.pdf for example) and we set that based on the setting on the General tab of Preferences. If you have documentation or examples that show newer ALE capabilties please send it to support@squarebox.com and we’ll take a look.
