    Hi all,

We have a 3ds max sequence from a moon and the earth flying towards the camera and dissapearing uhm, through the screen. Now I took Andrews Planet tutorial, took out the earth and included our own 3ds max (alpha) moon/planet which looks perfect! BUT!!

Andrew has a sunglow effect in his tutorial on a black solid and either our own moon/earth stay behind the ray or before it of course where I put my layers! But, I would like to let my 3ds max sequence first show behind this glowing ray and then go through it and show it in front of the ray. (Hope it makes sence, bad English)

Now my question, do I need to mask my own sequence or how do I achieve this?

    I hope for some responses.

    Thanks!!

    Rob

Yeah, just animate a growing mask on the ray layer. Make it circular, and keyframe the expansion from very low to the size of the planet. Feathering the mask will help too.

you could try splitting the glow layer and use a transition to move your earth through that layer.

it may not work perfectly, but you might get something good with it.
