AJA Tape Capture
Ironically, I was going to aja.com to download the latest drivers.
It appears there was an update today in v10.4.2.
From the website: “…a new feature has been included in AJA’s VTR Xchange software which allows automatic event creation within Apple FCP X as part of the capture process. Users no longer have to capture media and then import that captured material to FCP X. Events are automatically created at the end of each capture session, reducing the number of steps needed to get material from tape into FCP X.”

That’s kinda hot. I’m still not 100% happy with layback and ingest options from BMG or AJA. Layback is especially annoying, we still go to FCP7 for that. The again though, we only have one tape client left, so maybe it ain’t that big a deal.
