  • AJA Kona, Windows 7, and X58 mobo?

Posted by Jeff Brown on October 26, 2010 at 7:51 pm

Spec-ing a new system, and wondering if anyone has had success with an AJA Kona (mine is the board formerly known as the Xena-2K) running on an Intel X58 chipset motherboard, under Windows 7 Professional(64-bit) ?

I’ve seen one VAR using X58 motherboards, but any user confirmation would make me feel more secure…
    thanks,
    Jeff

    Thanks for asking.

Can not promise that all systems will function properly but if you do your homework and really test everything according to the rule with memtest and so on, so will this system rock.

Just remember where you put in your AJA card, all PCIe slots share speed so check carefully in your manual before choosing a location so that you get the right speed on the card (Lane x8).

    Best regards
    Mikael
