AJA Kona video-card as well as alternative control surface status?

Dang, it didn’t seem THAT far off at IBC. “We’re just finalizing our API for other developers”. I really hope BMD plays nice here given I get they want to increase hardware-sales… What BMD-card is similar to a Kona 3? Does anyone have experience with the two? Our Kona-cards have been rock-solid and are the last hardware I’d like to replace.
