    Hey all.

The problem I am having is the i/o is defaulting to the component Betacam RGB setup on output. Even if the control panel states that it is outputting component US. I know it is wrong beause there is a major HUE shift on the output compared to the exact same settings onteh Kona 2.

    I have:

    Powered down and up twice.
    Uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.
Checked to see that firmware is up to date.
Manually set the output in FCP to be the correct (US betacam) output.

The control panel is displaying some strange behavior. For example If I switch from the control panel to FCP the panel read (inactive) at the top of the screen in stead of “inuse by FInal Cut Pro.

This device/driver set up is approved by apple on theie FSC2 page.

    Anyone have any idea’s

    David

    Peace and Love 🙂

please post your results after you contact AJA, as I have only done Kona products with FCP6, and not any I/O’s yet.

    Bob,

Did all kinds of tech support with Jim at AJA today (thanks Jim, the support at AJA rocks). But we were not able to troubleshoot the problem on my end. My I/O LA seems to be locked in RGB output mode, no matter which easy set up I choose, etc. The output does not swithc.

So they are sending a new box. I hope it is hardware and not software related.

    Thanks,

    David

    Eegads, David….

Fingers are crossed for you. And, well, all of us really. Haven’t upgraded yet and not sure if anyone else is having similar issues but, like you said, hopefully it’s hardware and not software-related.

Best of luck…. keep us posted…..

Yes, please post the results since I have Studio 2 sitting in a box in my edit suite waiting to be installed and an IO-LA in the rack!
I’m happy that I happened on this post in time.
Let us know how it works out.
    Tom
