AJA IO HD Support with new FCP Studio
Anyone know if upgrading to the new FCP studio will mess up output with an IOHD? I have a multicam project I’d like to work on with the new marker system but I don’t want to upgrade and kill my output on my main tower.
I realize that I probably won’t have support for any of the new prores codecs (proxy would be nice…) but that’s ok because I’m just using standard prores422
Also – on a side note – I purchased my IOHD about a month and a half ago and it’s been really squirrely. I get green flashing frames on playback a lot of times and I also seem to have to render a ton (I’m just using the Easy Setup for AJA IoHD- 1080i 29.97 Apple ProRes 422 and my sequence is set to the AJA IoHD: 1080i 29.97 Apple ProRes 422 setting and all of my footage is captured as ProRes). I’m running a 2×2.26 Quad Core Nehaliem with 16 GB of ram and I have a 3.5 terabyte interal Raid 0 – I would assume that I’d be able to playback everything without rendering, especially since the IoHD handles a lot of the prores playout itself… several of my sequences have 6+ tracks of audio – any chance that’s the issue? If so – what’s the best way to handle that?
