  • AJA IO hd audio/video out of sync on output and input

    Hello,

We bought an AJA IO hd a while ago but never used it untill yesterday. We are in FCP 7, and the sequence is playing in sync through the IO hd sdi out on the monitor. But when we output the HCAM, the tape is at least 2 frames out of sync. We are using the latest driver and firmware for the AJA. We tried on both Snow and Lion OS. Same results. And when we reinput the tape, it is even more out of sync.

The audio delay setting in the AJA control panel are not working ( or at least they don’t seems to do any difference ).

We know it is not the deck because we can output/input fine with our other cards ( LHI, BlackMagic ).

I mean, this is suppose to be a straight forward procedure, but it does not work…

Anybody else have seen this? I think I will downgrade the driver to see…

    Thank you!

Hello, we finally discover that the problem was cause by the AJA driver 9.1. We tried on 2 different machine ( one 10.6.8 and one 10.7.2 ), both running FCP7. We also tried two different decks ( HDCAM and HDCAM SR ), both machine are offsync by 2 frames on input and on output.

Both when we downgraded the AJA driver to 9.05, everything is back to normal, no offsync. This is confirmed on 2 different machines with 2 different OS and 2 different deck.

Can you confirmed that on your side? Has this been tested prior of the release??

    Thank you!
