AJA Device for 480i signal to HD 480p/1080i Monitor
I have a HD (CRT) Broadcast Monitor. I need a AJA device that can take a 4×3 composite signal (480i like out of a Digibeta or SP Deck) and send it to the HD Broadcast monitor as either 1080i or 480p, but it has to go with Black Bars on the left and right so that it stays 4×3 within the 16×9 monitor.
Does anyone know of a device? Make sure it can add black bars so the picture stays 4×3 in the monitor.

YOu’ll need a mini converter, like this:

But call AJA direct to ask what they recommend. But you are looking for a converter, not an IO from the computer.

Actually he needs a V2digital and a UDC.
Or an FS1 will do as well but that could be a little bit of overkill.
