  AIC no logging?!

  Folks,
  I am capturing using the Apple Intermediate Codec in order to use 24A footage from the V1U camera in a 23.98 timeline (I will reverse telecine in Cinema Tools later). Apparently when AIC is chosen, FCP goes into an immediate capture. Is this the only way? Is the logging/batch capture function unavailable if you are capturing with AIC?
