Hi — I am working on a project where I have mixed formats, so I’m trying to convert everything to be the same before bringing into FCP.

One set of footage is 1920×1080 23.98 Prores
The other set of footage is: Apple Intermediate Codec 1440×1080, 29.97

I would prefer to stay with the first settings: 1920×1080 23.98 Prores.

What do I need to do to get AIC into these settings? I tried just using compressor but the AIC footage looked terrible.

    Thanks!

Did you try just dropping your Apple Intermediate Codec 1440×1080, 29.97 footage into the Prores Sequence?

After reading Ken Stone’s article (https://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/converting_frame_rates_compressor.html)

It seemed like it made more sense to convert everything to:

    29.97 Prores 1080 progressive.

All seems fine in my tests, except I am noticing that there seems to be a drift in audio sync toward the end of the clips that were originally 23.98. How can I avoid this?
